Mr. Chaffin practices primarily in the area of the firm's general litigation sector, specializing in insurance defense litigation. He received his undergraduate degree from Southwestern State University (B.S., 1969), and law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. Mr. Chaffin was admitted to practice in 1972. He began his 35 years of practice serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Caddo County for two years. In 1974, he moved to Grady County and continued his work as an Assistant District Attorney for four more years until being elected Special District Court Judge in 1978 and Associate District Court Judge in 1979, Grady County, Oklahoma. Mr. Chaffin joined the firm presently known as FRAILEY, CHAFFIN, CORDELL, PERRYMAN, STERKEL & MCCALLA LLP in 1979. Mr. Chaffin is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma state district courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Oklahoma, and the United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. He is a member of the Oklahoma and American Bar Associations. He served as Vice-President of Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel in 1988.
